Georgia and I rescued a tiny little kitten yesterday afternoon.
As best as I can tell, he's about three weeks old. His ears aren't up yet, and he's kinda wobbly.
So far he hasn't wanted to take a bottle, but he's hungry. I spoke with the vet this morning and he said that it can take up to 48 hours for kittens to take to bottles, and not to worry too much.
He's a feisty little sucker.
Oh, he's cute! I like cats with that coloring a lot. I hope he'll give the bottle feeding a try soon!
ReplyDeleteOh. My. God. That is one cute little bugger! I love cats so much I think I'm in danger of becoming a crazy cat lady when I grow old! I really hope he takes the bottle and starts to thrive with you, he's really adorable!
ReplyDeleteI still think you should name him "Rocky"! lol
ReplyDeleteSO cute! i want to cuddle him!
ReplyDeleteGah! Look at that little snuggler! Soooo cute! Make sure to update us on how he's doing!
ReplyDeleteOh so cute!!! Poor little thing, hope he finds out how to drink from the bottle soon. So now you have a new cat :-)
ReplyDeleteOhhh...want...kitten...so...badly... So adorable! When ou say rescue do you mean "found in the street because somebody abandoned it"? Or "went to the animal shelter"
ReplyDeleteBy rescue I mean, took him away from a bad man who was attempting to sell him for snake food.
ReplyDeleteHe's so cute! Definitely not snake food.
ReplyDeleteYou need to tell the whole, harrowing, courageous story. It's like Schindler's Kitty, only with fewer Nazis and more crackheads.
ReplyDeleteAnd a kitty.
Snake food? This little guy does not look like food for anyone! What a darling kitten. Can you keep him?
ReplyDeleteI used to foster kittens for the Humane Society, and I loved having these cute, mischievous creatures in my house. But Farm Boy has two cats and worries about a foster kitten bringing disease into the house, so my fostering days are over.
Enjoy kittenhood. It is SO fast. And I hope your daughter has a smooth transition to kindergarten!
OMG, snake food?! That explains the craigslist ad I saw once for kittens with the disclaimer NOT SNAKE FOOD! People seriously do that? :(
ReplyDeleteHe's a cutie pie. I hope he starts eating soon so we can hear all about his feisty kitten antics!:)
OMG, people are sick. The pet shop I get my dog/cat food from always has the most adorable bunnies... for snake food. =( If there were anywhere else to go around here, I'd buy from a place that didn't carry animals.
