Saying goodbye to the Liesl:

And finally, the cat with a flower in her head:

That one didn't really have anything to do with knitting, but it was cracking me up, so I decided to include it.

  1. Holy crap, that's a lot of yarn! What kind is it? The colors remind me of the green and purple Berocco (berroco? berrocco?) ultra alpaca that I used to knit pretty much everything I knit last year.

  2. As a side note, my little verification thingy just now was hexpron. Sounds like something a witch would look at to get her kicks.

  3. That is pretty funny about the hexpron thing!

The green yarn is from Briar Rose Fibers. It's a worsted weight called abundance. Gorgeous soft wool (and I am the pickiest of wool feelers), nearly 1,000 yards, for $55. Also, it's handpainted. It's really really gorgeous.

The purple yarn (on top of the green) is also Briar Rose. That one is called glory days, and is 500 yards of DK weight (also super reasonable).

The purple yarn to the right of everything else is in fact a Berroco (I just had to look up the spelling)yarn. I think that one is Vintage Wool (acrylic/wool blend. Hands down the nicest acrylic yarn I have ever used, ever. And with 30 years of crocheting under my belt, and a lot of that during the dark ages (the 80s) I've used A LOT of acrylics.
