Beezer however, decided to add visual interest to every single photo I took this morning:
To paraphrase Georgia, "Stripes match the stripes and black goes with everything."
Mine.
Oh, were you trying to take pictures of the scarf?
Mine.

The scarf is going to be really lovely. Cept for the whole colors thing. Which apparently I am in the minority on, as everyone else loves the colors. Either that or folks are just trying to be nice.
And in the event that you don't hang on my every word, and obsessively read my twitter feed, I took the Beez to the vet on Wednesday, and the vet was convinced that I'd pulled a switcheroo on him with the cat, as Beezer is as big as an 8 month old cat (he's only 3 months).
Beezer is going to be HUGE. (He's already big in Japan. His career is really taking off there.) The vet is estimating that he'll be a minimum of 15 pounds (7 kg), but probably between 20 and 25 pounds (9 to 11 kg).

Nice cat. It's similar with mine.
ReplyDeleteAmazing scarf pattern. I would like to knit it too but have no scheme.
Wow, he will have a weight same as my Leon - he is 10kg :-) That is a HUGE cat!! A sweet huge cat :-)
ReplyDeleteI think your scarf is beautiful! Love the pattern, and the colors are almost exactly like a scarf I have knitted once - and never used - because of the colors :-) But you can't let Beezer use it - I vote give it to Georgia since she love it so much.
It hard to be contrary.. Every one love my hair cut short (but me!) it helps a bit that no one gags when they see me.. but I still don't like it enough to keep it short.
ReplyDeleteI too, love the colorway--but hey, i'm not knitting it. It will be pretty when its done--and you will garner compliments.. but You don't have to like it!
Oh, I am chuckling for real about Beezer being huge in Japan. I have a celebrity crush on your cat; he is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI do like the scarf, even though I'm not usually a fan of multi-colored yarn. I think it works nicely with the lace pattern. And your knitting looks beautiful!
I adopted my Baxter at 7 mos from the shelter. I was convinced they had his age wrong until I was filling out the paperwork and they told me he'd been adopted from there the first time at 8 weeks so they knew exactly how old he was. He was huge! Easily already the size of most adult cats. My vet questioned his age too until I filled her in. He hovers around 15 lbs now and isn't heavy for his size at all. Mine are all pretty big so it's a bit shocking to me to see cats full grown at 6-8 lbs. lol
ReplyDeleteI'm still convinced that the Beez is part bobcat.
ReplyDeletewow, beezer is so cute! my full grown cat is only 7 1/2 lbs. she's teeny.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute cat...errr, scarf I mean :)
