Blocking:


Blocking, for the non-knitters, is the act of forcing your knitting into submission by dampening it, pinning it down and letting it dry. Oh, and praying that the above steps actually work.

Or that you don't massively screw up the blocking. And now, looking at this photo, I see a bunch of places that I need to go re-pin. Le Sigh.
