Not dead yet

I've been knocked on my butt by a cold for the past two weeks. First chest, then head. Usually it goes in the other direction for me.

I am ready to be healthy again. Really.

Then a funeral on Friday (sad) and Rhinebeck on Saturday (happy!) and running around yesterday. All of the above, I think, lengthened my recovery time.

I managed to get out of Rhinebeck without purchasing a single skein of yarn (I must have been sick), though my friend's mom

Aaaaaaanyway, I've been knitting, simple stuff mostly. Dierdre (rav link), which is going so quickly I've almost finished it before I have had a chance to post about it.

Also, Ryan's cowl out of the schoppelwolle.

I think I'm going to go lie down now. Which honestly, has been my state of existence for a while. At least I have kitten antics to keep me entertained.

Story and photo re: Rhinebeck to follow when I have more energy.

  1. See, even sick people dragged themselves to Rhinebeck! One day I'll go too.
    Wishing you a speedy recovery!

  2. Oh that is awful, two weeks sick, poor you. Hope you will recover very soon! Good thing you made it to Rhinebeck, but I agree, you must have been really sick when not bying any yarn. Second good thing, you can go next year and by twize as much :-)

  3. Sorry you're not feeling well! Can't wait to hear all about Rhinebeck when you're up to it! Get well soon!

  4. Oh! Is "not dead yet" a holy grail reference? I hope so- that's one of my favorites!

  5. hope you are feeling better soon! looking forward to your rhinebeck report.

  6. um......gee thanks......have you given it to me? From a thousand states away? Cereally. Was feeling weird yesterday and woke up today with a full blown yuck schnoz. My head feels like it's as big and heavy as a cast iron skillet. And you know I have NO time this week to be sick. ugh...hep me hep me!!
Hey keep you ol' yankee germs up there, wouldya?!!! love ya tho!!!

  7. Two weeks is a long time to feel crummy. I'm glad it didn't keep you from Rhinebeck. Does this illness have anything to do with having a kindergartner?

  8. So sorry you're not feeling well! I sympathize...the four members of my little family have been passing around an awful cold for almost a month and a half now! A couple of people have had it twice, unless it's a second cold gracing us with its presence. :( Anyway, get some rest and I hope you are able to knit a little while you're down.

  9. Chin up, honey! Get better so we can get our flu shots!!!
