Last night I started the Hap blanket. This is a ridiculously fast knit as I've worked on the thing for approximately two hours and I'm nearly done with the garter stitch center section. Here are some photos:
(for the record, the green in the picture still isn't right. But at least this is closer.)
And here's a shot of the Lettuce Pullover looking more pullovery:
I'm getting close to starting the seemingly interminable five inches of 1x1 rib at the bottom. Ugh.
However, I ADORE this yarn, and I can't wait to wear the sweater.
lettuce is looking good!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you think of the blanket! I have the yarn for it, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get through all of that garter sitch!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is REALLY not the right color. The blanket is so much richer.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of 1 x 1 ribbing, but it is tedious to knit. Still, it'll be worth it!
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying watching your hap blanket take shape.
I'll bet the pretty yarn (and maybe a good movie) make the ribbing go quickly. I love simple squishy knits like the hap blanket!
ReplyDeleteOoh, that orange is gorgeous! And I'm not even a huge fan of the color. lol
