Pictures of my latest FO can be found on Ravelry here. (Sorry, the link is only for Rav members).
I'll be able to post pictures of it next week.
Bruce's sweater is still green, and still in stockinette and 3x2 ribbing. I'm not complaining. I just had to set it aside to work on the secret project before I had to give it to its recipient.
In actual knitting news, I recently acquired a copy of Knitting Rules! by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, who is also known as Yarn Harlot.
Yes, the book is funny. Yes, it has lots of excellent knitting advice. Yes, unfortunately, it is making me desperate to knit another pair of socks. Which I shall be doing while I am knitting on Bruce's sweater. I'm thinking of using some of the Socks that Rock yarn I got in Oregon and knitting some plain vanilla ones.
Plain vanilla socks? Is this a subliminal shrimping hint? Not until you finish my sweater, young lady!
ReplyDeleteYour secret FO gets a big LIKE from me!
ReplyDeleteVanilla socks sounds great! :-) And your secret FO - me like too.
ReplyDeleteAwwww - I finished the sleeves on my Still Light tunic - tried it on - and it was MUCH too big... Body is now frogged, and I have lots of stockinette to do - all over again :-( But I love knitting again after a break for many months :-) HappySunday!
The recipient of your mystery project is going to be blown away. It is absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI always have a pair of vanilla socks on the needles. It's a little bit of comfort! And I can't knit them fast enough to meet demand!
ha, i came here last night to comment and then clicked over to Rav to see your project. of course then I got all caught up looking at everyone's beautiful projects over there and forgot to come back here! oops, Ravelry will do that to you. BTW the blanket looks great.
ReplyDeleteJust to say that you are all in my thoughts today, take care and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteHugs from me.
